Nigerian Football Association President Arrested

This is a very unpleasant event!

SSS operatives in Abuja reportedly arrested Aminu Maigari the NFF president and other board members on their return from the World Cup in Brazil.

This was after

Maigari and the entire NFF board were sacked by a court order that prevents them from representing the NFF.

The suit was filed by Rumson Baribote the former Nigeria Premier League chairman, who requested the court to restrain Maigari and all the committee and Congress of the NFF from managing the affairs of football matters in Nigeria.

Hon. Justice P. L Lot of the Plateau state High Court sitting in Jos granted the order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining Maigari, the executive committee as well as the NFF Congress from running affairs of Nigerian Football pending the determination of the Motion on Notice before the court.
